So, you want to learn more about us?
I started the company in 2005, after my husband, Allen, and I relocated to the U.S. from Toronto, Canada. Aside from learning new pronounciations like "zee" instead of "zed" for the letter Z, we also made big sacrifices to live in Phoenix, Arizona.
Imagine giving up things like snow shovels, winter boots, rakes, and raincoats for 300 days of sunshine annually! Our friends and family thought we were nuts, but, we persevered and settled into our new Sonoran Desert lifestyle.
At first, the company offered marketing consultation, graphic design, copywriting, branding, and creative services. I eventually added professional speaking to the list, having done many presentations and performances during my career in Canada. I joined the National Speakers Association and began to share my knowledge, in an entertaining and fun way, with conference and meeting audiences across the country.
After Allen joined me in 2009, we merged my business and nonprofit marketing and communications expertise with his extensive experience in hospitality sales and customer relations. That's when we added promotional products and custom printing to our roster.
Why consider working with us?
We're creative, hard working, and totally into partnering with our clients. As a boutique marketing and communications agency, serving nonprofit organizations and businesses across North America, we put our clients at the center of everything we do.
When the tables are turned, and we're the ones looking for quality suppliers, we value honesty, integrity, and fair pricing. That's why, as ethical practioners and businesspeople, we strive to meet our own high expectations first. If our company name is behind it, we want to be proud of it.
But, let's be totally frank. Not every organization is a good fit for us. We know where our talents and capabilities lie, and if we believe there are other agencies out there that are better suited for your needs, we'll tell you. Unless we know we can do an exceptional job for you, we won't risk our reputation or your success.
And yes, that does mean passing up business sometimes. But, we're not in this to be zillionaires. We're in it to be creative and professional - to help our clients achieve their business goals.Oh, and, we want to have fun doing it, too.
As a smaller agency, we keep our overhead low by bringing in our top-notch associates, designers, and specialists on an as-need basis. Their wealth of expertise allows us to expand our range of services while we manage your projects seamlessly, so you can do what you do best - your own work!
What we value
We are committed to our local, regional, and national communities. I enjoy serving my professional associations to ensure they continue to raise the bar for those who are experienced in the field, as well as those who are new to it.
I serve as an ambassador for the American Marketing Association’s (AMA) internal member community, called AMA Connect. With my specialty in nonprofit marketing, my role is to connect people and bring resources and information to nonprofit marketers across North America.
I chaired the AMA's 2011 Nonprofit Marketing Conference in DC, which offered exceptional programming and professional development opportunities to nonprofit professionals. This gave me the opportunity to share my own marketing expertise with colleagues and help them advance their organizations' missions.
For the Association of Fundraising Professional’s (AFP), I have actively participated on its international communications and marketing committee, collaborating to bring marketing-related resources and professional development. to AFP members, as well as advance the AFP mission worldwide. I also served six terms as a board member for my local AFP chapter.
Before relocating to Phoenix from Toronto, I did a lot of volunteering, fundraising, organizing, decision making, and marketing serving on national and local boards of director and committees for several Canadian nonprofit organizations.
As for Allen, he enjoys being a hands-on volunteer in the community. He joined the Scottsdale Lions Club, serving two separate terms as president. The club's mission is focused on sight and its fundraising efforts help it allocate grants and/or visual aids to those in need with visual impairment or blindness. Allen is involved in the club's collection of used eye glasses which get recycled and distributed to Americans in need and people in third-world countries.
He has helped the club generate revenue by working at many Arizona State University Sun Devils football games. He's the one in the golf cart, driving people with disabilities back and forth from the parking lot to the the stands before and after the game. He is always willing to pitch in for all the club's fundraising and service activities. In particular, he enjoys spending the occasional Saturday morning doing odd jobs at Maggie's Place, a nonprofit that provides houses of hospitality for expectant women who wish to achieve their goals in a dignified atmosphere.
Well, that's about it. Take a look around the site, read the testimonials we've collected from our clients, check out our portfolio samples, and if you want to know more about our professional backgrounds, read our bios.
You can always contact us by giving us a call, sending an e-mail, or meeting with us in person. We have worked with clients across the USA.
We look forward to hearing from you!
